In the very beginning, after just giving birth to your baby and leaving the hospital to come home, especially with your first, you are overwhelmed and have a million and 1 questions. Some of the biggest ones are "Am I doing this whole breastfeeding thing right?," and "Do I have enough milk?," and "Is my baby eating enough?" Because after all, when we breastfeed we are the life source for our baby. We are essentially, what's keeping them ALIVE! So, this can be the most stressful time for a mom. As a new mom, you want all the answers, and you want them NOW! But, your hands are usually tied, and you have minimal time to start doing all your research and figuring out what to do next.

This is why Breast Couture wants to make that period in you life all the more manageable and so we put together a resource guide for you.

 Who to Call with Breastfeeding Questions:

The Pump Station 

The Pump Station is incredible! They have a few locations where you can actually stop by and they weigh your baby for you and give you helpful pointers. If you can't get to them, they are always available on the phone. This was BC founder's place to go when she had Yonatan her son. They are a team of lactation specialists that can usually answer any and all of your questions and concerns about if you're doing things right.

They have support groups, breastfeeding classes, and so much more incredible resources. Definitely check them out! They are a wealth of information for parents.

La Leche League

LLL USA helps families by:

  • Providing free meetings led by volunteer Leaders who are experienced with breastfeeding and are accredited by La Leche League International.
  • Offering support between meetings for breastfeeding challenges, such as positioning and latch, being sure your baby is getting enough milk, soreness, pumping and milk storage, and so much more!
  • Helping parents learn about the ages and stages of breastfeeding.
  • Creating a community of support by bringing breastfeeding families together.
